The air-dried bark of the Aleurites moluccana afforded a diester phorbol by silica gel chromatography. the structure of this compound was elicidated by FT-IR extensive NMR spectroscopic techniques such as ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR, COSY, HSQC, and NOESY. This is the first report on the complete NMR assignments of diester phobol using 1D and 2D analyses. The anti-termites activity of dichloromathane extracts and isolated diester phorbol were also evaluated against Philippine milk termite, Coptotermes vastator Light (Isoptera:Rhinotermitidae). The study showed that the dichlorromethane extracts at diffrent concentrations 5% 10% 20% and pure diester phorbol proved to be effective over the control (52.60%).
