Passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) is an indication of
quality education offered by Teacher Education Institutions (TEI’s) in the
country. In response to the call for academic excellence, this study analyzed
the LET performance of the College of Teacher Education graduates of the
Palompon Institute of Technology, Palompon, Leyte from 2018-2022
through gathering data of the graduates profile in terms of their general
weighted average as well as their review classes. Specifically, it determines
the LET performance of the graduates in terms of the three area; general
education, professional education and the field of specialization. This study
employed a descriptive- correlational survey method. The research findings
showed that students’ academic performance and the mode of review can
be good predictor of a high degree of performance in the licensure
examination. It is recommended that BSED program has to improve the
conduct of delivery instruction in the Specialization courses while BEED
Program may be suggested to improve the conduct ofthe effective delivery
of instruction in the two components. In general, the result ofthis study will
serve as a conceptual basis in framing an enhancement course that the
College of Teacher Education will implement to improve the performance
of the graduates in the LET.
