The study aimed to assess the current ICT competency level of faculty at
PIT Tabango and develop an enhancement program tailored to their
competency needs. Through the comprehensive survey, the research
investigated the faculty’s profile encompassing gender, age, teaching
experience, access to technology, educational background, and
participation in seminars/training. Additionally, it evaluated the faculty’s
ICT competency across various domains including understanding ICT in
education, curriculum development, pedagogy, ICT integration,
organizational skills, and professional development. The research
employed a descriptive -correlative design, beginning with a quantitative
survey administered to the faculty members of PIT Tabango. The
questionnaire was designed to gather demographic information and
assess the faculty’s ICT competency across various dimensions. The
findings revealed that the majority of respondents exhibited advanced
ICT skills, indicating a solid foundation in technology. However, the study
identified areas for improvement and emphasized the importance of
continuous learning to keep pace with technological advancements.
Consequently, the study proposed an enhancement program aimed at
equipping faculty with advanced ICT skills to enhance teaching
methodologies and foster a digitally enriched learning environment.
Recommendations included organizing workshops and training sessions
focused on advanced ICT tools and applications relevant to diverse
disciplines. Furthermore, specialized training on advanced features of
commonly used educational technologies such as Learning Management
System and multimedia tools were suggested. By implementing these
recommendations, PIT Tabango can empower its faculty to leverage
faculty technology effectively, fostering innovation and creativity in
teaching practices, and ultimately improving the overall quality of
education.
