The employability and workplace readiness of her education graduates remain critical indicators of
academic program effectiveness and their alignment with industry demands. This study evaluated the
competence of Bachelor of Science in Home Technology Education (BSI-ITE) and Bachelor of Technology
and Livelihood Education (BTLED) graduates of the Palompon Institute of Technology-Tabango Campus as
assessed by their employers. Using a descriptive research design, survey responses were gathered from
employers who •directly supervised the graduates. Competence was measured across three domains:
technical, conceptual, and human skills, with ratings ranging from "Slightly Competent" to "Highly
Competent.'' Findings revealed an overall mean score of 3.18 out of 4.00, indicating that graduates were
generally perceived as Competent to Very Competent. Among the three domains, human skills (M = 3.38)
emerged as the strongest, particularly in teamwork, adaptability, and resilience under pressure.
Conversely, technical skills (M=3.09) and conceptual skills (M = 3.07) received slightly lower evaluations,
suggesting areas for improvement in problem-solving, communication, and adherence to standard
operating procedures. Employers emphasized the graduates' strengths in dependability, flexibility, and
commitment to organizational goals, while also noting the need for enhanced job-specific expertise and
stronger workplace communication skills. The study concludes that PIT-Tabango graduates are workplace-
ready, with notable strengths in human relations and personal adaptability. However, targeted
interventions in curriculum enhancement, industry collaboration, and workplace simulation are
recommended to strengthen their technical and conceptual competencies. These findings provide valuable
feedback for higher education program development and contribute to ongoing efforts to bridge the gap
between academic preparation and labor market expectations.
