Local festivals serve as vital platforms for cultural preservation and community identity, fostering social
unity and tourism growth. This study assessed the level of satisfaction among participants and spectators
of the Tambayayong Festival in Tabango, Leyte, Philippines. Using a descriptive survey design, data were
collected from 224 respondents composed of teaching and non-teaching personnel from the Tabango
North and South Districts. A modified questionnaire adapted from Panaguion et al. (2015) measured
satisfaction across four areas: general features, information sources, specific entertainment features, and
comfort amenities. Data were analyzed using weighted mean, standard deviation, and z-test at a 0.05 level
of significance. Results revealed that respondents were generally satisfied with all festival aspects, with
specific entertainment features—particularly street dancing, pageants, and employees’ night—receiving
the highest ratings. Comfort amenities such as restrooms, seating, and accessibility for persons with
disabilities obtained the lowest but still satisfactory ratings. Statistical tests showed no significant
difference between male and female respondents, indicating comparable experiences across genders. The
findings highlight that while the Tambayayong Festival effectively promotes community pride and cultural
identity, improvements in comfort facilities and information dissemination remain essential. The study
recommends implementing a Festival Experience Enhancement Plan (FEEP) to strengthen inclusivity,
organization, and sustainable cultural tourism in future celebrations.
