The performance of state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET)
is a key factor in program accreditation and institutional recognition. This study examined the LET
performance of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) graduates of PIT-Tabango from March 2016 to
March 2024 using a descriptive quantitative design. Institutional records were analyzed to determine the
frequency of takers, passing rates, and mean scores in General and Professional Education, compared with
national averages. Results showed fluctuating cohort sizes, with participation falling to 3 examinees during
the COVID-19 pandemic and peaking at 44 in October 2022. Professional Education consistently scored
higher than General Education, reaching 77.00 in January 2022, while General Education dropped to 56.80
in September 2018. Institutional passing rates surpassed national averages in several periods—including
March 2016 (56.25% vs. 28.38%), March 2023 (64.29% vs. 40.77%), and March 2024 (68.97% vs. 46.70%)—
but fell below in others, notably September 2018 and June 2022 (0% passing). These findings highlight the
need to strengthen General Education preparation, sustain Professional Education strengths, and
institutionalize pre-board examinations and flexible review mechanisms to maintain consistent
performance above national standards.
