This study takes traffic data and evaluates the peak of traffic periods. With transportation becoming a common economic
problem around the world, this challenge on how to effectively improve the traffic and road management in the Municipality
of Palompon, Leyte. Methods: This study uses a quantitative analysis as the research design, in which gathered through the
traffic volume and composition tallies and surveys. Results: This study also showed that locally known "Pot - pot" vehicles were
clearly the most numbered vehicles among 6 different streets, while very few were trucks. Conclusion: It showed that "Potpot" was the first source of traffic congestion in the city because it is a large number and one of the main sources of income
for residents. Likewise, Palompon, out of the six main streets in Leyte, Rizal Street was the busiest street with the said traffic
peaking at 5-6 p.m.
