The project aimed to establish five hectares (5 has) of pilot plantation and nursery of Jatropha curcas Linn. in Batangas province. The following were the specific objectives of the project: determine the edaphic and micro climatic condition of the plantation site; identify the common pests and diseases associated to Jatropha curcas plantation; recommend appropriate mitigating measures to control the identified insects, pests and diseases; determine the yield performance of Jatropha curcas; determine economic impact of Jatropha curcas production in Lobo, Batangas using Cost-Benefit Analysis; Produce primer and promotional materials on the production and management of Jatropha curcas; Identify the strategic nursery site.
