The study will establish a pasteurizer facility with stand-up pouch packaging capability and will develop the UHT-HTST pasteurizer for pasteurization of milk and for processing of coconut water; determine its compositional standards or physicochemical properties, will conduct sensory tests and microbiological examination of the pasteurized milk and processed coconut water. It is expected that the equipment will packed coconut water and milk in stand up pouch.

The expected beneficiaries of the study will be: (1) Food researchers: those who will be working on the packaging of juice processing and locally available dairy products that will need the technology for its stabilization. (2) Local investors who will be purchasing the technology or rent the facility for toll packing for their coconut water and dairy products manuacturing, (3) Farmers and growers of fruit bearing trees can benchmark on packaging beverage for marketing; and (4) Farm owners may invest in producing coconut water or dairy products by availing the technology or may rent the facility for toll packing of their products.
