The study about the effectiveness of infused lemon water in lowering blood pressure of pre-hypertensive patients is a proof that there can be food that can actually lower blood pressure.
Lemon infused water has been effective in lowering the blood pressure before and after 5 days and 20 days of the experimentation. Moreover, it was discovered that there is a significant difference in the diastolic blood pressure readings between the experimental and control group after 25 days of experimentation.
However, reasons for no significant differences in the systolic blood pressure between the experimental and control group after 5 days, 10 days, 15 days, 20 days, 25 days and 30 days of experimentation can be attributed to one or more of the following: non-compliance of the experimental group, diet intake (holiday season food), and lack of physical activities.
With healthy lifestyle such as proper diet and regular exercise plus the use of infused lemon water as substitute for the regular water, pre-hypertension can be prevented.
In a nutshell, infused lemon water is effective in lowering blood pressure of pre-hypertensive patients and therefore can help prevent hypertension
