This study focuses the move of human resource department using shared service model using data from sample of 30 enterprises located limited only in Batangas City. Human Resource guru David Ulrich proposed the shared service model (SSM) as a new organizational form for organizing the work of HR. The SSM separates HR into the three functional units: service center (HRSC), center of expertise (HRCOE) and business partners (HRBP). According to him shared service center handle transactional activities of administration and a center of expertise to handle transformational activities that are non-administrative in nature. The last function of the SSM is the business partners whose work is to organize the HR work in accordance with overall business goals. HR Business Partner is a strategic role of human resources. The researcher use the descriptive method of research because its objective was to assess the status of human resource professional using shared service model using Bourdieu’s theory of practice with the new introduced concepts- career field, career habitus, career capital. This is the most appropriate research design because this study was concerned with the Status of Human Resource within shared service model in the organization. After the survey conducted by the researchers and after gathering all the results from the answers of the selected enterprises in Batangas City the researchers highly recommend training and seminars for all human resource personnel, practitioner or even for human resource manager.
