Eating habits have evolved with the pressure exerted by the student life today. This translates to more time to school work and less time for other activities, including eating. With that their academic performance is affected because college grades are not just all about effective study habits. While the mind is nourished, so must the body be equally nourished. Good grades are all about “looking after yourself” along the way. This study focused on the Assessment of Eating Habits of College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Students Basis for Evaluation of the Academic Performance. Specifically, this study sought to answer the following questions on what is the profile of the respondents- age, gender, year level, BMI and everyday allowance. Then the academic performance of the respondents based on their GWA in first semester 2013-2014. Also, eating habits in terms of food preference, place where meals are eaten, food consumption, food preparation and regularity. It posted null hypothesis between eating habits and academic performance and significant difference of eating habits and profile variables. The researchers utilized the descriptive method of research with self-structure questionnaire the main data gathering instrument that was validated to gather necessary data needed in the study. Respondents of the study were 85 students from College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences second year to fourth year level at Batangas State University Main Campus I. The data were analyzed and interpreted through the use of statistical tools such as percentage weighted mean and chi-square. Results revealed that most of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences students were 18 to 19 years old, female, second year level, and have normal BMI. Most of the students have a daily allowance 100-150 Php. Majority of the students have a weighted average of 2.01 to 2.25. They preferred to consume foods rich in protein like lean meats and fish and seldom when it comes to milk and milk products. Students want to eat at school canteen. Majority of them preferred fried foods and as their regular meal and snack pattern they have Breakfast, AM snack, Lunch, PM Snack, Dinner. Seminar module was proposed to disseminate the information to improved and developed students’ eating habits and its importance to body and mental health and to their performance.
