This study aimed to determine the extent of utilization of accounting information system of manufacturing companies in Batangas and Lipa City. The researchers used the descriptive research method in conducting the study. The respondents of the study were thirty four (34) registered manufacturing companies located in the said cities. Survey questionnaire was used as the primary tool in collecting data. It was personally distributed to the respondents together with a letter of request. Specifically, the study aimed to obtain the business profile of the manufacturing companies in terms of forms of business organization, capitalization, length of operation, number of employees and accounting software frequently used; determine the extent of utilization of Accounting Information System (AIS) to its subsystems -- general ledger/financial reporting system (GL/FRS), transaction processing system (TPS) and management reporting system (MRS) in terms of the profile of the company; find out the level or extent of contribution of AIS to business functions such as finance, marketing, production and human resources when grouped according to profile; and identify the implications of the findings to the stakeholders. In analyzing the data gathered, various statistical tools were used such as relative frequency and weighted mean. Out of 34 manufacturing companies responded, majority of them were engaged in corporation form of business and most of the companies have a capitalization of not more than Php 3,000,000, operating for five years
