The study entitled Analysis of Government Efficiency of the Municipalities in Batangas Province primarily aimed to analyze the efficiency of governance in Batangas covering the period of 2013 and 2014. Government efficiency was measured by ten main indicators namely: Capacity of Health, Schools, Security, Business Registration Efficiency, Investment Promotion, Compliance to National Directives, Ratio of LGU collected tax to LGU revenue, Transparency scores, Economic scores and DILG related awards. The research design used by the researchers is Mixed Method Design (Qualitative and Quantitative). Moreover for quantitative analysis, the researchers used the data provided by National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center of the Philippines (NERBAC) - CALABARZON Website while for qualitative analysis, the researchers had conducted an informal interview to different municipalities in Batangas province. To accomplish the objectives, the researchers used simple regression in determining the significance of variables. They are subjected to statistical tests like normality test and unit root test for data validity. Moreover, the researchers also conducted an analysis of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to determine how each municipality is performing in terms of governance. As the researchers conduct a SWOT analysis, they able to identify which municipality is performing well in a certain indicator and the lowest ten performing municipality. Moreover, the municipalities can take advantage of its opportunities to improve locality’s competitiveness. All the weaknesses were taken into consideration and will be the basis on how each locality’s governance will be improved. On the other hand, the researchers provided a pamphlet that will inform, educate and communicate the concerned persons to those ten municipalities with the lowest performance in government efficiency.
