The study entitled “Operation of Selected Beach Resorts in District II: Basis for Enhanced Quality Service” aimed to determine the operation of selected beach resorts in District II. The researchers used the maintenance and housekeeping, lifeguard and security, medical services, fire-fighting facilities, signboards, designated area, precautionary measures and prohibited acts and practices as the variables taken from the Department of Tourism’s General Rules on the Operation and Management of Resorts. More specifically, it aimed to present the forms of business ownership, length of operation, number of employees, capitalization and average number of customers during peak and lean season. The output of the study is to enhance the quality service of the beach resorts in District II. A total of 30 respondents who visited in 15 selected beach resorts in District II particularly in Bauan and Mabini were used as the participants of the study. The study used descriptive method in describing the operation of beach resorts in District II. The study used percentage, weighted mean and two way analysis of variance or T-Test as statistical treatment of data. Findings revealed that majority are owned by a sole proprietor with a percentage of 87. The selected beach resorts were less than 5 years and have less than 20 employees. With a percentage of 73, the selected beach resorts used less than five million pesos in terms of capitalization. There are less than 500 average numbers of customers in peak and lean season. In terms of the assessment, majority of the respondents agreed that they operate the resorts well by following the general rules on the operation and management of resort from the DOT. Majority of the variables revealed that there is a significant difference between the assessment of the employees and guests. Some are not significant which reveals that this might be the basic needs of the resort.
