Becoming a mother is one of the most exciting times in a woman’s life. Pregnancy is the fertilization and development of one or more offspring, known as an embryo or fetus, in a woman’s uterus. In another perspective, pregnancy without proper time spacing is not healthy for the child and the mother. This study focused on the birth control practices among Alangan Mangyan Mothers. Specifically, this study sought answers to the following question on what is the profile of the respondents in terms of age, birth spacing and obstetric history. Also, the different birth control methods practiced by Alangan Mangyan Mothers in terms of natural or artificial family planning. An information material for the mothers was IEC (Information Education Campaign) material to provide mothers adequate knowledge in different alternative birth control methods. The researchers make used a descriptive method of research with self structured questionnaire as the main data gathering instrument validated and administered to 60 mothers from Brgy. Paitan, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted through the use of Frequency/Percentage for Weighted Mean and Chi Square Test.
