This study aimed to assess the nutritional status of badjao mothers in selected barangays in Batangas City considering their food intake and dietary culture, developed and improved an existing food product enriched with essential nutrients for badjao mothers. the study also aimed for woman empowerment of Badjao Community through conducting a seminar proposed to the City Health Office so that the public know (including business sector, non-government organization, government sector) the problems and needs od Badjaos and for them to work hand in hand to educate the young women and mothers regarding proper nutrition. The respondents of the study were 46 badjao mothers of barangay Wawa and Malitam, Batangas City. The data were analyzed and interpreted through the use of statistical tools such as percentage and ranking. Results revealed that fish and camote are the most common food of badjaos and it serve as their staple food. They are coffee drinkers and do not drink alcoholic drinks. They prefer one dish meal wherein protein rich foods such as fish are combined with vegetables to make a dish. Most of respondents are housewives followed by vendors and they have low generating income. which affect their capability to feed their children with nutritious foods and snacks. The researchers developed a product called “Fruitvoron” and “Nutribuchi” that are nutritious snacks that could provide the essential nutrients of an individual must have.
