The project study aimed to design and develop a solar-powered charging station for electric bikes. This project provides convenient charging station for the users of e-bikes and the possibility as a business option for entrepreneurs and the community. The solar-powered charging station for charging electric bikes is a fundamental and practical application of using solar energy. Solar energy is a completely unpolluted natural resource that is considered as a technological option for generating clean energy. The solar-powered charging station utilizes solar PV modules to convert solar energy to DC energy which will be used to operate the whole system and provide charge on e-bikes. The project works when coins are inserted in the multi coin acceptor. The coin acceptor will validate the type of coin inserted and send the signal in the microcontroller. If the coin is valid, the LED will light up and wait for the customers to press one of the buttons. When one of the buttons was pressed, it will start charging the electric bike. The project undergoes different testing to verify the functionality of components and the whole output. The developed prototype promotes sustainability in preserving the environment for it is a clean source of energy. It had a positive effect the society for it promotes clean source of energy and a business type of project for entrepreneurs and local communities.
