The Medical Tourism is an emerging huge market for different countries especially in Asia. With its growing competition and demand, the Philippines have advantages in using its natural environment for health and wellness improvement, recovery from medical procedures, healthy lifestyle, and many more. In this study, the proponent addressed the needs of elderly foreign retirees, and local retirees as well. And also the health improvement of the medical tourists/patients while enjoying the natural environment of the country. The project aims to develop a place for retirement which will cater the foreign retirees as well as the locals. The retirement village will be a necessity of the community because of the out-growing number of retirees in different part of the world. The growing demand for this kind of facilities created an industry in which Philippines will not only be a tourism spot but also a retirement industry in which real estate developers and land owners are converting the idle lands into one of this facilities. This research studied how environment both built and natural effects can be used as a tool to create a comfortable and therapeutic setting that can promote better recovery for the patients.
