The Philippine Institute for Tropical Medicine will serve as a hub for health and medical services. This project involves the construction of a hospital specializing in infectious diseases that will serve all the patients in need of treatment for infectious, tropical and dermatological diseases under Department of Health. A growing number of hospitals are becoming more interested in a sustainable approach to healthcare design. There seems to be a lot of uncertainty, however, about implementing sustainable methods which is not only becoming less costly, but also more the rule than the exception. The data gathered by the proponent gave an answer to the questions regarding this project proposal. The development of tropical medicine throughout the ages has often seen as greatest advances in different battles of life. All the information will serve as a basis for a better understanding and the proponent recommends a further study in designing sustainable healing environments.
