Natural gas is one of the growing primary energy source in meeting the world’s energy needs. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) will be a key factor to help sustain the increasing demand for energy usage in the world. Liq N’ Gas Incorporation will be located at Santiago City of Isabela. The plant has a total land area of 40 000 m2 and consisting of the following areas: the administration building, laboratory, canteen, warehouse, production area, maintenance and utility building. The proposed plant will utilize natural gas and produce Liquefied Natural Gas as final product and will conduct its operation for 25 years but the natural gas reserve is expected to supply the plant for 50 years. It aims to supply LNG in the Philippines and will utilize a feed of 660 kmol/hr of natural gas. For the treatment of the natural gas from the feedstock, the contaminants are removed by absorption, adsorption and membrane separation processes. The main production method for liquefied natural gas is liquefaction of the natural gas after treatment of the contaminants. Liq N’ Gas will produce 267.89 tons/day of Liquefied Natural Gas with Methane (89.60%), Ethane (2.78%), Propane (2.43%), Butane (3.58%), Pentane (1.32%) and acceptable traces of carbon dioxide and nitrogen. It has a market share of 8.4811%. Also, the proposed plant will produce 86.58 kg/day pentane with local market share 1.5236%. Liq N’ Gas will start its operation on November 2023 Financial studies of the design estimated payback period of 5.31 years with a percentage return of investment (ROI) of 34.38%.
