This study intended to design and develop a workstation for soap moulding and packaging of glycerine soap at Kamahari Agri-Based Multi Purpose Cooperative. As part of productivity improvement, the researchers conducted interviews and surveys with the cooperative’s management and worker. Through that, the researchers assessed the existing production process, identified the problems and found out that there are risks and delay in the production. The researchers found out the several risk factors including awkward posture, awkward bending of head and neck, muscle and shoulder pain, repetitive motion and further distance from the preceding process, thus resulted to low productivity rate. The researchers proposed three alternative designs considering the worker’s anthropometry, operating process and workstation design as part of the action necessary for the improvement. The three design alternatives were evaluated using the different trade off analysis method and the best among those three was determined. The chosen design was fabricated and underwent several trials to be able to evaluate its performance. The researchers found out that there are flaws on its intended function, thus modification took place. After the modification process, another trial was made to test the effectiveness and efficiency of the equipment. To assess the effectiveness of the soap moulding and packaging workstation in the cooperative, the productivity, ergonomic benefits, production performance and cost benefit were measured by the researchers.
