One of the natural attractions in spring resorts is the Bato Springs Resort. Its main attraction is the cold spring pools, the native style of kubo’s and cottages it doesn’t have any architects nor designers, but now the researcher aims to redesign place using Tropical Design inspired through Maldives interior. The purposed of this study is to improve the physical appearance of the interior design circulation, function of Bato Springs Resort. Decorating tropical style has two kinds, trendy and timeless. Tropical style is all about comfort, eases in utility, and is eclectic by definition. The style characterized by warm and soothing, colors drawn mostly from natural element such as sea, skies and vegetation. Hues maybe deep and rich or may fall on the lighter, brighter side. By tropical design, it has to be responsive to the environment and to the climate and they should be comfortable, study and estimate the space so that they can control the movement of the air can reduce warm air. A resort is a place where families intend to spend their holidays or weekends for relaxation or recreation. People in urban areas are especially busy all through the week and look for ways to refresh and rejuvenate themselves. Resorts are the perfect place for such people who can happily spend time with their families. Resorts are generally interwoven with natural surroundings without disturbing the serene environment. Successful guest activity programs should be enjoyable, freely chosen, and benefit the individual emotionally, socially, physically, cognitively, and spiritually. San Pablo is a first class city in the southern portion of Laguna province and is one of the country's oldest cities. By land area, it is the largest in the province of Laguna. With a population of 248,890 people in the 2010 census, it ranks fifth within the province. The city is more popularly known as the "City of Seven Lakes". San Pablo has a cool climate owing to its location. It is nestled in the foothills of three mountains: Mount Banahaw, Mount Makiling and the Sierra Madre Mountains. These mountains do not only provide attractions for the tourism industry (such as waterfalls) and sources of many forest-based products, but also serve as stewards for the clean air. One of the natural attractions in spring resorts is the Bato Spring Resort. The spring resort is designed with pools surrounded by the lush trees and the cool breeze of the mountain winds that gives an enjoyable and relaxing nature-feel. The resort offers pools that resemble nature’s springs that is suitable for both kids and adults alike. This is suitable for families who want an affordable resort but does not want to sacrifice a good quality of bonding with nature. Imagine yourself in a place where you can only hear the rush of cold spring water while the birds are chirping and the trees are swaying as the cool and fresh mountain air blows. That’s the kind of feeling you will experience the moment you step in the resort. The proposed project involves a total transformation of the cottages and facilities to look more accommodating and relaxing to the tourists. With these in mind, tropical design is the best answer to this problem - Tropical Design inspired through Maldives interior to be exact. Since the resorts theme is into nature. Tropical Design best suites the answer and inspired through Maldives interior giving tourist a complete package of relaxation and comfort and most importantly, giving a tourist the same Maldives experience. In the Philippines, there are numerous infrastructures necessary for different spring resort. There are lots of resorts here in our country. One of those is Bato Springs Resort, located at San Pablo, Laguna. Bato Spring Resort is owned by Felix Alvedo in 1981 and now run by his children. The cozily nestled on the slopes of two legendary mountains, Mt. Banahaw and Mt. San Cristobal, a stream meanders on about 500 feet above sea level and glides down BATO, which started as a tiny waterfall that came out from red earth and giant boulders. The waterfall spread out icy cold water irrigating the lush coconut plantation and a source of life for the different flowers and fruit trees around the area. Bato Springs Resort has a good impact in nature but the facilities and cottages are not that accommodating. Since the resort has no architect or designer it doesn’t have proper routine and attractive cottages, aside for waterfalls. The resort is designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable. It is not a 5-star hotel and resort, but its atmosphere purely embraces the sense of nature. The setting is just perfect for people who want to get away from humid and chaotic metropolitan. According to the researcher, the tropical design suits the theme of the resort inspired through the Maldives interior. The researcher wants to bring the luxurious feel of the Maldives experience through a budget friendly vacation. This concept will fit in the interior design of the resort, which will eventually convince more tourists to come and visit the place. The trend of tropical architecture influences the selection of accessories. It is important to select the correct furniture that will complement the physical appearance of the building. In order to create the comfort and the circulation, it is important to understand the function of each area, the specific needs for the area, and the maintenance of these areas. The factors to be attentive of when organizing the area in order to make them attractive are the choice of colors, furniture selections, accessories, modifications of walls, ceiling and floor, whether separators needed and even lighting systems. To have a design that would suit the needs and the comfort of the tourist is the foremost priority.
