The primary market is for oyster spat for production thus on the market trends, oyster is one of the high valued aquatic commodity. Aside form this, there is an increasing number of oyster demand locally and internationally. However, it is sad to note that oyster production is low not only locally but across all the countries. For this case, oyster production is not sustainable. One of the reason for low production is attributed to less supply of oyster spats used for oyster culture aside from low quality oyster spats. Hence, there is a compelling reasons to develop a technology that will increase high quality spats production. Increasing the high quality spats production via the developed technology will therefore address the problem and such technology has a strong market potentials. Likewise for customer benefits it increase the production of high quality oyster spats which enable the consumer to produce and increased the number of high quality oyster. However, the impact of the technology when used and adopted will addressed the supply on shortage of oyster spats. Further, the technology is free from contamination from Harmful Algal Bloom thereby achieving a sustainable oyster industry in the locality and of the country in general.
