Disclosed is the process of producing natural dye from Teak (Tectona grandis Linn.) leaves comprising the steps of: gathering of freshly healthy leaves of Teak, washing the leaves on a container having perforations at the bottom, weighing the leaves into 1 kg, mixing the leaves with 2 liters of water to produce a mixture of Teak leaves with water, boiling the said mixture for one hour to extract the dyestuff, straining the dye extract to separate the extract from the residue, and cooling the collected dye extract.
