A suture training device, comprising a support member having a base with an arcuate holder; a hollow body removably nested to said arcuate holder, said body having a longitudinal opening provided along the length of said body; a layer of thin film material encapsulating said body simulating animal tissue; and a fastening member securely held to each of the opposed edges of said opening adapted to fixedly hold said thin film.
