The utility model relates to snack food more particularly to a process of making turmeric cookies to increase its nutrient content, appearance, aroma, colour, and texture. The process of making turmeric cookies comprises the following: sifting of the prepared dry ingredients, measuring the ingredients, adding the turmeric powder into the flour and dividing it into four quantities, creaming the margarine in a large bowl until creamy, adding sugar and beating the mixture until it becomes pale and pluffy, partly adding the flour, adding the egg and mixing the mixture, adding the remaining quantities of the flour until the mixture form a fine dough, rolling the dough into bite-size using clean hands, placing them slightly apart on the cookie sheet, flattening them slightly with the back of a damp fork forming squares, sprinkling them with a pinch of sugar, preheating the oven to 170 OC, baking in the oven for 13-15 minutes until it becomes light brown and slightly firm on top, carefully transferring the cookies to a plate, cooling the cookies and serving them.
