This paper purported to describe the roughness of the data on Internet users around the globe
in the year 2001. A fractal analysis was conducted to determine a pattern of self-similarity,
ruggedness and limitations on internet utility of the different countries taken as subjects.
The study covered Internet users per 100 inhabitants for each of the countries. The fractal
dimension revealed that 8.6 percent of the countries obtained higher values of Internet users,
and 91.4 percent attained lower values. This data was supported by hidden fractal dimensions
where poor countries showed greater variability in Internet use which is relatively small in the
said year.
