The main purpose of the study was to determine the job satisfaction and onboard experiences of the seafarers and make a proposal to improve their job satisfaction. The study utilized the descriptive-correlational design. It involved personal profile on gender, age, civil status, length of sea service in years, monthly income and license held on board. It revealed that majority of the seafarers were male. The length of sea service was settled more on 0-10 years. The monthly income of P61,000-P100,000 constituted the highest range. Most of the experiences they encountered related to their job was labeled as satisfying. The items which revealed a significant relationship were license held on board and pay and promotion potential. Likewise, license held on board and work activities revealed also a significant result. It was deduced that job satisfaction occurred when pay and promotion potential was looked into by the shipping management. The license they held urged them to perform better in their job. Salary matters much for seafarers to stay in their respective job assignments. The proposal to improve the job satisfaction of the seafarers was encouraged to be utilized by the shipping management and the seafarers to experience a favorable working condition.
