The study focused on the Development and Validation of the Basic Thermodynamics Instructional Material (BTIM) that will be used by the College of Engineering for the BS Electrical Engineering and BS Mechanical Engineering. The developed Instructional Material was created in line with the suggested topics and sequences of lessons from the released CMO no. 88 s. 2017 for the BS Electrical Engineering and CMO no. 97 s. 2017 for the BS
Mechanical Engineering, and such that the content also contains the topics of Basic Thermodynamics in the recent trend of licensure examinations for the two engineering disciplines.

The Development and Validation of the Basic Thermodynamics Instructional Material for the College of Engineering (BS Electrical Engineering and BS Mechanical Engineering) used descriptive research survey for 160 respondents comprising of 63 BSEE Graduates, 71 BSME Graduates and 26 Professional Experts to scrutinized the developed instructional material in terms of content, language, grammar, presentation, usefulness, authorship, and publication standards and physical features. The results also undergone One-Way ANOVA to determine the significant difference between the responses of the three groups of respondents. Moreover, the respondents also shared their comments, suggestions and recommendations for the future revision of the developed instructional material.

The results showed that the BTIM had exemplary results in terms of content, language, grammar, presentation, usefulness, authorship, and publication standards and physical features among the three groups of respondents. In addition, the three groups of respondents showed no significant difference in their evaluation showing that they all agree that the developed instructional material had met all the necessary criteria.
