This research study aims to investigate the prevalence, intensity, and species of ergasilid parasites infesting mullets collected from Mayorga, Leyte. The findings will provide important baseline data that can inform strategies to manage parasite infestation and support the sustainable production of mullets in the region. Furthermore, the results will benefit local fisherfolk dependent on mullet fisheries and serve as a valuable reference for other coastal communities facing similar parasitic challenges.
