The study is under the “Varietal Improvement of Cassava” project which is already in its sixth phase of
implementation. The study focuses on the development of cassava varieties with high-quality traits for food, feed, and industry. The breeding program targets trait for high yield, dry matter content, and starch content. As of the
moment, breeding activities are still being conducted using conventional techniques.
