This study aimed to determine the barriers encountered by the senior high school Grade 11 teachers handling industrial arts subjects in the Division of Tacloban City, Leyte. A descriptive qualitative research method was utilized, and an interview was used for gathering data. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis by Braun and Clarke (2006). The findings showed the multifaceted barriers faced by the participants in teaching industrial arts, including student absenteeism, students’ financial challenges, safety and risk awareness, communication barriers, limitations in educational resources, a lack of training, and a lack of funding for educational resources. Moreover, studentparticipants encountered barriers while learning industrial arts, including a lack of focus and insufficient learning resources. The study recommends expanding access to industrial arts education in senior high schools. This can be achieved by introducing the program to more schools and providing professional development for teachers. Likewise, the education sector, through teachers and schools’ administration, must give attention to the identified barriers in teaching industrial arts to ensure that the desired competencies are attained by the students.
