This action research aimed to know the effectiveness of storytelling in improving the vocabulary skills of kindergarten students.
The findings showed that Kindergarten teachers experienced difficulty in the production and use of props during the story telling. Making an encouraging opening of the story, the use of colorful instructional materials, maintaining eye to eye contact to the listeners (pupils) and changing the voice for different characters could increase the vocabulary skills of the pupils depending on how they delivered the story using the said strategies. The pupil developed their recalling skill as they heard the story.
