In the contemporary technological landscape, social media platforms have transformed into vital channels for merchants to broaden their marketing endeavors and reach a wider audience. These platforms have evolved beyond mere social networking spaces to become the most prominent and significant virtual arenas where users can promote their brands and products. This study, undertaken at Palompon Institute of Technology, aimed to assess social media as a marketing platform among faculty and students. Employing survey forms and questionnaires, data were collected from 50 respondents, specifically from the Business Administration Department, using universal sampling and a descriptive design. The findings revealed a positive perception of social media as an effective marketing platform, with a majority of respondents expressing a preference for online shopping. Social conversations were identified as influential in shaping their product choices. Moreover, a significant number of respondents reported using social media daily, dedicating 3 to more than 5 hours to these platforms. The study showcased the substantial contributions of respondents toward the research objectives. Given the diverse channels within social media, such as Facebook and TikTok, the researcher recommends ongoing investigations into specific social media channels to formulate targeted social media strategies.
