This study examines the organizational performance of state
universities through a four-fold function perspective: academic
(instruction), research, extension, and production. Quantitative
data from institutional office performance commitment and
review (OPCR) of the institution’s key officials were analyzed using
a quantitative method approach. Findings indicate that generally
there is a high degree of consistency in the performance of the
required functions of the key officials in academic organizations,
even though there are minor variations in performance across
different functions. This is indicated by the standard deviation
values. The implications of these findings suggest that enhancing
quality and fostering excellence in the said core functions are
critical for improving the overall organizational performance of
state universities. Future research is suggested to focus on
longitudinal studies to assess sustained impacts and explore
additional factors affecting organizational effectiveness in higher
education settings.
