Background. Graduate tracer studies serve as vital feedback tools that evaluate program effectiveness,
labor market alignment, and graduates' employment outcomes to guide curriculum and service
improvements. The study employed a descriptive survey with a longitudinal approach using CHED's
standardized tracer study questionnaire to gather demographic and employment data from Bachelor of
Secondary Education major in Mathematics graduates of Palompon Institute of Technology Tabango from
AY 2017–2018 to 2023–2024 with responses analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the tracer
study reveal that the majority of the BSED Mathematics graduates from PIT Tabango are presently
employed, demonstrating the program’s success in preparing graduates for the demands of the teaching
profession. A significant portion of these employed graduates are working in the education sector,
particularly in teaching positions, which reflects the alignment of the program’s curriculum with the labor
market needs. This suggests that the training and competencies acquired during their undergraduate years
are relevant and applicable to their chosen field. The high employment rate of PIT–Tabango’s BSED
Mathematics graduates underscores the program’s effectiveness in producing job-ready and employable
individuals. The fact that most of the graduates are employed in teaching-related fields demonstrates that
the degree is responsive to the needs of the education sector, particularly in addressing the ongoing
demand for mathematics teachers. While challenges exist for a minority of graduates, the overall
employability outcome is positive, reflecting the quality of instruction, relevance of curriculum, and
practical training provided by the institution. This validates the role of the program in contributing to the
professional workforce and supporting national educational goals.
